Dr Bradley Goldsmith

Wagering consulting for bookmakers, totes and suppliers

Independent advice on technology selection, new products and wagering business consulting.

Most wagering problems are not abstract strategy problems. They are product, platform and delivery problems: which engine to buy or keep, how a new bet type will behave in a tote or a fixed-odds book, what a vendor is not telling you, and whether a “refresh” will survive the first Saturday in spring.

Dr Bradley Goldsmith has spent the better part of two decades on those problems as a technical director, chief technical officer and founder — inside corporate books, a new totalisator, and his own wagering technology company. He now takes selected consulting work in Australia and Asia.

Services

  1. Technology selection

Vendor evaluation, architecture reviews and build-versus-buy advice for sportsbooks, totalisators, pricing engines, feeds and sales channels.

  2. New bet types

Design and technical framing of new or hybrid products, including combination racing and lottery structures, multi-leg products, and pool / fixed-odds hybrids.

  3. Tote and pool betting

Totalisator product, pool design, derived pricing, feed mixing, and the practical work of standing a tote up or running pools alongside an existing book.

  4. Programme and delivery advice

Fit-gap, technology refresh, vendor management, and the unglamorous middle of a programme: scope, sequencing, and getting a wagering system live without surprises.

  5. General wagering consulting

Short, specific engagements for operators, racing bodies and suppliers: product range, channel strategy, integrations, and an independent reading of a proposal or a platform. Expert witness services are also available.

Who this is for

  • Racing bodies and tote operators looking at a refresh, a new pool product, or a vendor decision they do not want to take on the brochure alone.
  • Bookmakers adding parimutuel, hybrid products or a wider channel set.
  • New businesses that need advice on a first book, tote or platform — what to buy, what to defer, and what will matter after go-live.
  • Suppliers who need someone who has sat on the operator side of a tote or sportsbook programme.
  • Boards and executives who want a direct technical view, not a slide deck from the people selling the platform.
